Camp Presentations

Daily presentations at the South Shore Cross Country Camp will be conducted by the camp staff and guest speakers. Guest speakers may include high school and collegiate coaches as well as collegiate and professional runners. Topics will be instructional, motivational, and inspirational.

Guest Speakers will include:

Tim Beres - Head Boy's Cross Country Coach, LaPorte High School. Coach Beres has had an amazing run at LaPorte High School the last few years with his team finishing as high as second at the Indiana State Cross Country Championship. Tim has also had coached several outstanding individuals in his time at LaPorte including Mike Fout, the 2007 3200m, Cross Country State Champion, and Footlocker National Champion.

Mike Fout - LaPorte High School and Florida State University. Mike Fout has just finished an extremely distinguished high school career ranking as one of the all-time greats in Indiana Cross Country and Track & Field history. His accomplishments include leading his team to a state runner-up finish at the 2007 Indiana Cross Country State Championships, winning the 2007 3200m and Cross Country State Championships, and becoming the first Indiana athlete in history to win the Footlocker Cross Country National Championship.
